Serie A, Empoli-Lazio 0-1: Parolo decisive, Caputo in the final touches the same

Second consecutive victory for Lazio. After the 1-0 against Frosinone, another successful measure (and not without suffering) against another newly promoted, Empoli. The Roman team remains convalescent, appears above all still too low tone on the physical level, and insufficient in its key-men, but in the meantime improves the ranking and above all morale.

Inzaghi still has a lot of work to find the brilliant formation of last season, but with 6 points in the standings after 4 races he can do it with less pressure. Step back instead for Empoli, not so much for the negative result, but for a satisfactory performance only sometimes and without the competitive charge that can not be missing in the teams fighting for salvation.

Teams in the field with the men and modules announced. Custom 3-5-1-1 for Inzaghi, a Christmas tree for Andreazzoli. The first fraction closes on 0-0 with great regrets on both sides. Lazio is very close to the goal in the opening and closing time, while in the central phase is the Empoli to touch the mark. Especially at the turn of the half hour when the home team has a double colossal opportunity in the same action. The good ball happens on the feet of Acquah but it is seen to neutralize the shot by a prodigious intervention of Strakosha.

On the rival, with the Lazio goalkeeper out of the way, Zajc has only to deposit it on the net, but he shoots incredibly high. A minute after the Empoli goal is also found, with Caputo, but Orsato rightly cancels for offside. Before and after the time-yes of the Tuscans, however, it is the Lazio that goes repeatedly close to the score. Milinkovic tries twice in the first few minutes.

On the first occasion, after freeing himself from the champion's shot, the conclusion fails. On the second chance, however, Rasmussen is to deny him the goal with an incredible rescue. Then, just before the break, Inzaghi's team wasted another three excellent goal-balls. First there is a shot by Luis Alberto deflected by Rasmussen with a portion of his body close to his arm (but the Var says it's all regular), then Milinkovic invents a heel shot in the small area that Terracciano manages to deflect in the corner with your fingertips. But on the corner Lazio is still one step away from the goal: to stop the header from Wallace provides the post.

After the missed opportunities in the first half of the final Lazio becomes immediately cynical in the opening of recovery. And already at 2 'the biancocelesti are ahead. Milinkovic works a ball on the trocar until he finds the right corridor for Lulic, whose cross, deflected by Di Lorenzo, ends up on the feet of Parolo who only has to push it into the net, with Rasmussen trying in vain to intervene. On that goal Lazio set the rest of the race and eventually the facts prove him right. In fact, the game is asleep by Inzaghi's men practically until the end. Inzaghi cleverly uses the changes, removing first Radu (injured) for Caceres and then the weighted Milinkovic and Luis Alberto with Correa and Durmisi. Andreazzoli replies with La Gumina, Traore and Mraz, but his changes do not wake up an Empoli that, once the goal is taken, gets lost. So much so that, before the 90 ', for Strakosha only a couple of dangers arrive with Caputo (on the first saves Leiva, on the second the striker pulls high).

But, when the 1-0 seems already written, here in the final minutes everything happens. Empoli is thrown forward and leaves grasslands to Lazio that goes close to doubling first with Correa (pole, Terracciano beaten) and then with Marusic, face to face with the goalkeeper, blatantly wrong. Erroracci that almost cost dear, because right at the last second of the 4 minutes of recovery, Caputo has a golden ball in front of Strakosha, but it is overcome and can put a piece.
