The accusation of sexual violence for Cristiano Ronaldo: the investigation reopened. He: "Fake news"

Last night, the Las Vegas police officialized the reopening of a rape investigation, after a 33-year-old from Nevada, Kathryn Mayorga, accused Cristiano Ronaldo of raping her in a hotel room on June 13, 2009, when CR7 was moving from Manchester United to Real Madrid. On Thursday last week, the woman filed a lawsuit in the Clark County Court (Nevada) against the player, claiming that she was then paid $ 375,000 by the Portuguese champion to silence the whole affair.




On Monday evening the police confirmed that the day of the attack had intervened following a phone call from the Mayorga, but had not provided any kind of detail, either on the scene of the incident or on the generality of the aggressor. On the occasion, however, the alleged victim had undergone medical tests to establish sexual violence.

After last week's affair was reported by the German magazine Der Spiegel, CR7 had responded with a video: "Fake news, it's normal for people to want to advertise themselves with my name, they want to be famous. and all is well ". His lawyer, Christian Schertz, had threatened to sue the magazine and who reported the story: "It is a resounding violation of my client's personal rights".

Mayorga claims that that night she had gone with a friend to Rain, a famous night club in the gambling capital, where she met Ronaldo. The star of world football had invited her to her suite along with other people to admire the view of the Strip and take a bath in the Jacuzzi. As the woman was changing, CR7 would take off her clothes and demand oral sex. When he refused, he would have raped her.

Local police spokesman, Aden Ocampo Gomez, explained that no further details will be provided in the near future with an ongoing investigation. Despite the confidentiality agreement signed in the past, Mayorga has now considered itself exempt from remaining silent, convinced by its new lawyers and inspired by the #Metoo movement. In the lawsuit filed last Thursday he accused CR7 or those of his defamatory entourage, breach of contract, of having beaten her up, causing her emotional stress and cheating her.
